Location

We are located in the scenic foothills overlooking the Tradouw Pass, surrounded by working farms. Conveniently situated between the N2 and the quaint mission village of Suurbraak, our rural hamlet is in close proximity to the historic town of Swellendam, the charming country village of Barrydale (and the famous Route 62 beyond), and is within 60 km’s of Witsand’s pristine beaches. Explore the scenic surroundings, go for a ride or a walk in the country, or just breathe in the fresh air and chill.

Facilities

A secure horse camp is available — food (hay and concentrates) can be provided by arrangement. We also offer a dog care facility should you wish to bring your dogs. Dogs sleep indoors in a homely environment and roam free within a securely fenced property. Once the initial meet-and-greet canine introductions are over, your pooch will have lots of canine friends to play with and plenty of space to run, leaving you free to explore the countryside or to learn more about horses (and yourself) in our Equine Encounters sessions.

With a variety of accommodation options to choose from, there is something for everyone and every budget. Options include:

• Exclusive use of a private campsite located next to a small dam
• Glamping in permanent tents in scenic surrounds
• Self-catering country cottages overlooking a springbok camp 
• Self-catering country cottages within walking distance of horse camp and dog care facility.
